2022 Bermuda Cruise & AAA Retiree Reunion

After almost a 2 year delay due to Covid travel restrictions, the awaited 7 day Bermuda cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit was held June 12 - 19, 2022.  Our group of 16 enjoyed the hospitality aboard ship, its exceptional food and of course lots of enjoyable fellowship and the renewal of friendships.  Here's a photo of our happy group. This November, Henry brought his AAA Corporate Affairs Staff back to Second Harvest Food Bank for a day of "team building" and sorting and packing food for those in need.  This was the fourth time that staff choose this charity to donate their time and talents. Mom has been challenged with various health issues since February 2012.  In late October we hosted a party for her at her home.  Over 50 of her friends attended including her two sisters and their husbands, Aunts Cathy and Betty and Uncles Frank and Tony.  Mom was radiant all day and thoroughly enjoyed being the "hostess with the mostess".  Enjoy the photos at http://henryscarfo.com/family/MomsParty/index.html. 

Annually, Sam coordinates a Pet Blessing at Nativity Catholic Church.  This October, over 50 pets, mostly dogs attended with their owners.  There were also a few "brave" cats and other rodents.  All were blessed by Father Ralph.  Here, Sierra is embraced by Father who loves animals and has a dog of his own.

In late October, Henry had a wonderful opportunity to attend the AAA 400 NASCAR race in Dover Delaware.  I was afforded access to every vantage point of the race including being on the pit box of the Energy 5 Race Team of Michael Waltrip Racing.  I was also at the "Miles" trophy presentation when Brad Keslowski won the race.  He later won the Sprint Cup Championship.  I took over 300 photos during a great race weekend.  Click on http://henryscarfo.com/henry/AAA400NASCARRace/index4.html to view some of them!

Henry recently visited Colorado Springs and took the Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway to the summit - 14,110 feet. The trip up took 1 hour and 10 minutes and the views were spectacular. In advance of a recent business trip to Colorado, I toured on Canyon Drive between Boulder and Nederland with a stop at Boulder Falls.  Also traversed Berthoud Pass and the Trail Ridge Road, the highest road in the US.  Click on the the following link to view Henry's latest photos: http://henryscarfo.com/vacation/WinterParkColorado/index.html

One of the most photographed lighthouses in the world is located on Campobello Island in New Brunswick. The island is also the home of the former FDR Summer Cottage. Henry recently visited this beautiful location along with St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, and Acadia National Park in Maine. Henry, joined by Mike, Gene, Jim and Biddy (The Belknap Five) dedicate a granite bench on October 23, 2010. The bench and a historical marker were presented to the town of Center Harbor during an alumni reunion in fond memory of Belknap College which is now closed.
